Richard Henderson 6c42444f9a target-sparc: Remove gen_opc_jump_pc
Since jump_pc[1] is always npc + 4, we can infer after incrementing
that jump_pc[1] == pc + 4. Because of that, we can encode the branch
destination into a single word, and store that in npc.

Benjamin Herrenschmidt 97ed5ccdee tlb: Add "ifetch" argument to cpu_mmu_index()
This is set to true when the index is for an instruction fetch
translation.

The core get_page_addr_code() sets it, as do the SOFTMMU_CODE_ACCESS
acessors.

All targets ignore it for now, and all other callers pass "false".

This will allow targets who wish to split the mmu index between
instruction and data accesses to do so. A subsequent patch will
do just that for PowerPC.

Bharata B Rao 5a790cc4b9 cpu: Add Error argument to cpu_exec_init()
Add an Error argument to cpu_exec_init() to let users collect the
error. This is in preparation to change the CPU enumeration logic
in cpu_exec_init(). With the new enumeration logic, cpu_exec_init()
can fail if cpu_index values corresponding to max_cpus have already
been handed out.

Since all current callers of cpu_exec_init() are from instance_init,
use error_abort Error argument to abort in case of an error.

Richard Henderson 42a268c241 tcg: Change translator-side labels to a pointer
This is improved type checking for the translators -- it's no longer
possible to accidentally swap arguments to the branch functions.

Note that the code generating backends still manipulate labels as int.

With notable exceptions, the scope of the change is just a few lines
for each target, so it's not worth building extra machinery to do this
change in per-target increments.

Sebastian Huber 16c358e96e target-sparc: Add and use CPU_FEATURE_CASA
The LEON3 processor has support for the CASA instruction which is
normally only available for SPARC V9 processors. Binutils 2.24
and GCC 4.9 will support this instruction for LEON3. GCC uses it to
generate C11 atomic operations.

The CAS synthetic instruction uses an ASI of 0x80. If TARGET_SPARC64 is
not defined use a supervisor data load/store for an ASI of 0x80 in
helper_ld_asi()/helper_st_asi(). The supervisor data load/store was
choosen according to the LEON3 documentation.

The ASI 0x80 is defined in the SPARC V9 manual, Table 12—Address Space
Identifiers (ASIs). Here we have: 0x80, ASI_PRIMARY, Unrestricted
access, Primary address space.

Tested with the following program:

  #include <assert.h>
  #include <stdatomic.h>

  void test(void)
  {
    atomic_int a;
    int e;
    _Bool b;

    atomic_store(&a, 1);
    e = 1;
    b = atomic_compare_exchange_strong(&a, &e, 2);
    assert(b);
    assert(atomic_load(&a) == 2);

    atomic_store(&a, 3);
    e = 4;
    b = atomic_compare_exchange_strong(&a, &e, 5);
    assert(!b);
    assert(atomic_load(&a) == 3);
  }

Tested also on a NGMP board with a LEON4 processor.

Andreas Färber 14a10fc399 cpu: Partially revert "cpu: Change qemu_init_vcpu() argument to CPUState"
Commit c643bed99 moved qemu_init_vcpu() calls to common CPUState code.
This causes x86 cpu-add to fail with "KVM: setting VAPIC address failed".

The reason for the failure is that CPUClass::kvm_fd is not yet
initialized in the following call graph:
->x86_cpu_realizefn
 ->x86_cpu_apic_realize
  ->qdev_init
   ->device_set_realized
    ->device_reset (hotplugged == 1)
     ->apic_reset_common
      ->vapic_base_update
       ->kvm_apic_vapic_base_update
This causes attempted KVM vCPU ioctls to fail.

By contrast, in the non-hotplug case the APIC is reset much later, when
the vCPU is already initialized.

As a quick and safe solution, move the qemu_init_vcpu() call back into
the targets' realize functions.

Blue Swirl 6a4e177114 Remove Sun4c, Sun4d and a few CPUs
Sun4c and Sun4d architectures and related CPUs are not fully implemented
(especially Sun4c MMU) and there has been no interest for them.

Likewise, a few CPUs (Cypress, Ross etc) are only half implemented.

Remove the machines and CPUs, they can be re-added if needed later.

Andreas Färber 97a8ea5a3a cpu: Replace do_interrupt() by CPUClass::do_interrupt method
This removes a global per-target function and thus takes us one step
closer to compiling multiple targets into one executable.

It will also allow to override the interrupt handling for certain CPU
families.

Andreas Färber 259186a7d2 cpu: Move halted and interrupt_request fields to CPUState
Both fields are used in VMState, thus need to be moved together.
Explicitly zero them on reset since they were located before
breakpoints.

Pass PowerPCCPU to kvmppc_handle_halt().

Peter Maydell 806f352d3d gen-icount.h: Rename gen_icount_start/end to gen_tb_start/end
The gen_icount_start/end functions are now somewhat misnamed since they
are useful for generic "start/end of TB" code, used for more than just
icount. Rename them to gen_tb_start/end.

Andreas Färber fadf982584 cpu: Introduce ENV_OFFSET macros
Introduce ENV_OFFSET macros which can be used in non-target-specific
code that needs to generate TCG instructions which reference CPUState
fields given the cpu_env register that TCG targets set up with a
pointer to the CPUArchState struct.
